You can find his pedigree on online-pedigees.com. Just type in warfield.

Yes there is kind of beagle called a warfield red and is becoming more and more rare. My late uncle raised nothing but warfields. I am sure there are some bloodlines out there that are proven but they are so rare now it seems that I have not seen many lately. Hill's Shakerag Kennels had one at last trial I went to and he was beautiful. They are located in Tn and I dont know if he had any for sale. Back home they were extremely high if you could find one.

FC Warfield Red would have been considered a "bluecap". He was a grandson of FC Gray's Linesman. He died about 1960 or so. Warfield Red and the Park Road beagles produced a lot of liver or chocolate blanketed hounds. Many people got to calling all liver and chocolate beagles "warfield reds" or in some cases "auburn reds" (I think the Park Road s came from the Auburn,Ind area). Warfield Red was owned by a man from Terre Haute, Ind. There are many many pedigrees today that have Warfield Red in them. He even shows up in the old peds behind my beagles that most would consider AKC showbred beagles.
