what do you guys know about him? i may be buying a female out of him how will she turn out?

He finished in the AKC Mid-West. I've talked to guys that judged him; they all say he was an excellent check hound with good speed. They say he showed a lot of brains and was good at turning on the line when packmates would overrun.

They said he was a hard hunter; most Blue Ninja dogs I've seen have plenty of hunt also.

I judged Blue Boy a few years ago. I found his strong points to be patience and determination, which I think is one of the biggest things lacking in many dogs on the trial circuit today. On this particular day, Blue Boy worked numerous doubles and squats out that other dogs gave up on quickly. Needless to say that's what won the trial for him. Speedwise he wasn't the fastest dog in the pack, but when he got the front he kept it and could control it. Honestly I'd say he was on the upper end of medium, lower end of fast. Plenty enough speed to make a rabbit sweat when conditions provided for such and enough brains to know to gear down when they didn't.
As for his hunt and search... I found he had enough to suit me. Hunt is my one biggest emphasis. My motto is when they hit the ground and after a few minutes of emptying out they should be hunting else keep them in the box. I don't care how much score they're getting if they won't hunt they're not going to last long under me. I could care less how short of a time period they've been on the ground or how many miles you've drove. If your dog doesn't hunt then you shouldn't have it at a trial in the first place.
After winning this trial he went out to 3 to 4 more straight wins. Blue Boy was a nice hound in my opinion.

COTTENTAIL, OLD BLUE IS 12 NOW AND STILL CAN DO IT RIGHT HE IS A GOOD OLD HOUND HE WILL BE MISSED WHEN HE IS GONE.

I HAVE A 13 MONTH OLD MALE OUT OF BUCKEYE NINJA BLUE BOY THAT IS A HUNTING MACHINE AND A NICE LOOKING HOUND. I JUST GOT HIM AT THE BEGINNING OF SUMMER AND HE WASN'T EVEN STARTED. NOW HE IS JUMPING RABBITS AND PICKING UP A FEW CHECKS ON THE OLD DOGS. HE'S GOT A WAYS TO GO, BUT I LOVE THE HUNT AND DESIRE HE'S SHOWING ME EVERY TIME I TAKE HIM TO THE FIELD. HE CAUGHT AND RETRIEVED TWO RABBITS THE FIRST WEEK I GOT HIM BACK FROM THE STARTING PEN.

I've judged Blue Boy and ran with he and Jack probably 10 times. I was most impressed with his checking ability. In my honest opinion, he wasn't all that fast nor a "jump hound" but could really keep the line between his legs and had a sixth sense of where the rabbit cut. This later attribute is what brought him home the blue. He ran the same every time I went out with him. He was an excellent hound.

HEY GUYS I HAVE TWO LITTERS OF PUPS OUT OF THE OLD BOY IF ANYBODY IS LOOKING FOR SOME NICE HAMMERING HOUNDS ONE LITTER IS OUT OF MY TURBO FEMALE, THAT WOULD BE THE SAME CROSS THAT PAULS PUP IS OUT OF AND ANOTHER OUT OF A NICE 13" FEMALE THAT GOES BACK TO SAND COUNTY PENNY.
