Banjo is a hard hitter. When he first came to the states, he was a hard hitter who stayed at the check. My father and I judged him the day he got his first win in the states. He was awesome that day leading most of the drives with control. I judged him the week after that and he took a 2nd to his kennelmate Murray's Little Blazer. I judged him one more time after that at Berkshire when I couldn't wait to get him off the ground...way too fast and rough.

I agree with Rob. When Roger Gavel had him in Nova Scotia, Banjo was quite a hound- fast, accurate and worked a check right. Last time I judged him we threw him out for drifting way out of the check area. Just shows what the pressure of trialing every week can do to some hounds. Still, if you're looking to possibly breed to him, that faulty behavior was learned and won't neccessarily be passed on to his offspring. Banjo was a heck of a hound his first couple of trial seasons.
