Syris Mcgee Offspring!!!

Steve, hope ya can make it up this summer. the funny thing Ive noticed about the Syris bred dogs is no matter what the bitch side is they seem to all be simmalair in style and speed. On Sunday we were averaging 1 hr heads up runs on cottontail. I have alot of paths cut where we ran and at times the rabbits would run 100yds down and then make the sharp cut back into the brush. The pack I dont think ever overran more than 5 feet and would snap back and make the turn. It was a good day to show off hounds. Most of the time when you want to show them things dont ever go as planned..lol.
The spots I have for running really give you a good view of what the dogs are doing, and if they screw up its plain as day right in front of you. They just cant hide anything for long. Although my dogs ran the front for the most part, Sam's dogs were only a step behind them and really worked a nice check area. On the long drives you could throw a blanket over that pack!I think the biggest reason mine were in the front is due to the fact their in a little better shape and a bit more experienced. I told my dogs to enjoy it up there while it lasts cause by next hunting season with a bit more age, Sams fine hounds will give em a run for that front seat!
Sam, keep those young dogs safe as they have a very bright future in rabbits! It is just a good feeling to meet someone that lives close to you with the same style of dog. Dont worry guys, I'll get him to a trial this year and get him hooked!
we'll get some pictures next run and post them here.
Robbie, I would have paid a big buck for a pup from sport and destiny.. thats too bad. Give my best to Lou.

My male Baron is directly out of SY x Dutchess of Looney Dean Lodge she has FC Armando's Haweye and FC Branko's Boone creek Trimmer in her. Born 10/2/2003. I also have a litter mate brother to him named Bugsy.
Rick
I was happy with how every one ran. I have not ran beagles in comp in years and was not sure where my dogs would fit in. Thanks to Max and Magic I have a measuring stick now.
If any of you guys come out this way and want to run give a shout I love to see other dogs run (especially good ones).

I have breed my bitch to smokes creek maximus crank and the end results have been spectacular.over the last couple years I have been out with Rick on several occasions and to see such impressive dogs is awesome.I keeped 2 males out of a litter of 11 and they are really starting to turn it on,they started circling at about 5 months and have not looked back. They are very smart and can run all day long.I hope to have them ready to take the next step but time will tell.Rick has helped me out alot along the way.if you have a question about beagling he's the man.
jo out
PS only one problem my pups are to fast for his dogs so he won't let me run with hin no more.

Wow, I was just gonna brag on your pups cause I didnt know you had a computer! Cant do it now, you'll never get your hunting hat to fit over your swollen head!
Let me tell you guys, John (my beagles romp...hehe) has some of the best hunting spots around! Always puts us knee deep in rabbits. the only problem is, he shoots all of them! Ive seen him climb trees to get shots and one time he ran out of amo and started throwing rocks!!! He's a hard core hunter!
I dont want to say too many nice things about his hounds, but he does have two nice males and harvested many rabbits in their first gun season. We had some real good hunts this year and alot of laughs. In a short time John has become one of my favorite hunting buddies!
Sam, Bill Damiano (BRK kennels PA.) is coming up this weekend. We are planning a sat morning run at Smokes Creek, If your free give a shout and I'll give you directions. I have a ton of rabbits there and the runs have been awesome. hope you can join us.

I just wanted to thank all who came and ran on saturday, Bill Damiano (BRK beagles PA), Jack Pirowski, Frank Giacobbee, Carl Mirabella, Fran Privitiere, and Jim Blendowski. We put down 13 kin hounds, and braved the cold breeze for close to 6 hours. The onlything louder than the pack was our ball bustin laughter. I hope a great time was had by all. Special thanks to Mike Gawlak, for hosting a well deserved after run party at his home. The food and dishes were top notch, and all the kids had a blast playing pool and singing Kareoke. Next time I hope its a bit warmer for all, but mannnnn those hounds ran good! Thank you all again for coming and making my weekend a great one!

Socks
Second win in a row. Two wins in four hunts for old Socks. A little good fortune and some good jumps went a long way. Socks shocked me Saturday in a 50 dog open class.
