Lance who is the male you are posing in the picture under your name. What is his breeding. Very impressive looking as a beagle ought to be doesn't look like he is part Border Collie or Blue Heeler like some of the popular dogs of today.

King's Way, thank you very much for your compliment. The dog is Woodside's Big Show Sambo. He's out of FC Indian Hills Trapper x FC Boothills Foxfire. Foxfire being out of Trapper's older brother Indian Hills Gator x Sock It To Me breeding.

Yeah I know his breeding once you explained it. I gave Trapper a win and Foxfire(Foxy) a second. I know R.B. very well and have for years and hunted with him some. I started judging about the time he bought Majer. I work up in Dry Ridge and Crittenden some so where are you from there?

King's Way, yeah I'm from up that way. I know R.B. too....that's about as far as it goes (long story). In my opinion he has a good line of dogs and would reccomend them to any rabbit hunter. I also own a younger brother to Nightrain. Same cross, different litter. He's not near the dog Nightrain is but he is a very consistant rabbit dog.

I won't say any of the following is the best, but I will say they're among the better hounds I've personally seen during my time in the Midwest Assocation. Please note many of these hounds have finished in the last five to then years. I wasn't around to see many of the hounds in the beginning of our assocation, but I will state I think any of these could hold their own with any of the old ones in my opinion.

To guest - The short's line of dogs is a proven line of dogs and has had many many champions, but as others have said, they are medium speed at the most. I have seen a few of them run and they can lock onto a rabbit and run it check free for hours, but they are just too slow for my taste. I like a run to catch type hound and would not feed anything else. Ubgf SPO is big in my area and all of the others that I share a running spot with run Rob's Diamond II, Littleman, Spike and Shorts Breeding, I am the only one that runs what they call "wind splitters"(LOL) there. When I first started running there these guys would tell me how their dogs would run a rabbit for hours in the cutover and he would very rarely if ever come out. Let's put it this way I have rarely had one not come out, and pretty quickly at that. Just a different style of dog I guess, we all feed what we like, but I want the rabbit running for his life.

R.B....... I can only go by what was relayed to me from Scott. I don't have a problem with you. I was under the impression it was the other way around.

I don't hold grudges and would be glad to talk to you anytime.

I'm very proud of the dogs that I have from you.......Best dogs I've ever owned. Thank you for giving me to opportunity to own them.
