Superdog is standing at stud with Josh and Rick Patterson in Corydon, IN right now. That's where my male came from and they have a website. You might want to give them a call.

In the Maritimes (eastern Canada) the Top Dog line has dominated for years. I've seen a number of them that were too rough for my taste and a few that were much more conservative but there's no question that as a whole you can expect these hounds to be hard hunting, hard hitting hounds with above average to very good nose. Whitney's Mad Max has really produced some fine hounds and some of my favorites were Shanty Cove Brandy, East Creek's Bad Boy Jake (recently deceased) and Berpaul's Mac (still in my kennel and still running at 12 1/2 years old). I went hunting in Nova Scotia last week with Mad Max's owner, Jim Bungay and Scott Brewer, Jake's owner and we had some excellent running on extremely bad conditions with hounds from this line. Mad Max is still alive at 15 years old though Jim says he's lost a step or two. Jake had about as good a nose as you'll ever see on a hound and he's passed it along to his offspring. As Boomer pointed out, Top Dog was off Getemout Jim Beau who was not considered a hard hitting hound but an excellent snow hound and tough as nails, crossed on a CryOn bitch who WAS considered hard hitting. You'll certainly find some variation in this line but it's pretty hard to beat as a whole. Top Dog and the Otterbrook line were owned by Jim Swinimer from Nova Scotia who produced some great hounds in a short period of time. Jim is still alive but not in good health or he'd still be beating us regularly today.

That is Mikermas Superdog.

Donnie is getting that mixed up with Soups Superman I believe. Not sure.

He has had dogs with both Superdog and Superman in their pedigrees. He might be getting them confused.
If I remember right, Mikermas Superdog was the sire to Soups Superman which was Sock it to me on bottom. Don't have any pedigrees in front of me, but I think that's how it went.

Just a thought. ;)

Don't be too hard him, afterall he is a democrat!!!  :haha: :yikes: :dunce:

Donnie, I don't want to argue here, but I was just pointing out the pic you posted IS of Superdog. Compare the body markings of the two pics I posted. It's the same dog.

I looked for my picture of Soups Superman......must have deleted it.

Anyway.....Superman was mostly black and tan with just a little white.
Lean, leggy male.

The picture above is Mikermas Superdog, which is Soups Superman's daddy.

Hey Darrin thought i would let you know that i got to see those 2 Patch hounds of Tom's run today more than ever, i believe he said that the one he calls Amber is out of Tator, she is a nice hound and i got to watch his other Patch Windy open up really good today for the first time.

I would have to say it was a constent race from 8am to 4pm all day, i film part of the hounds running but the excitement was to much for me to bare so i put the camera up and grabed the ol shot gun and knock me down a couple of bunnies.

We ran 4 dogs all day with some really long races with at least 3 or 4 of the many rabitts the dogs got up. Me and ol Tom couldn't believe it they were at every place we went. We was loading to go to another place and out would pop another, so we just let the hounds go again. Went to my other spot and we no more than put them on the ground when they struck and run a race for atleast 1 hr, they circle that rabitt 3 times. Tom's ready to go tomorrow already.lol

What a day in the field.

FC Woodeye's Super Girl

Post by HatterasBob »

Below, is are pictures of FC Woodeyes Super Girl. She is the first FC out of Mickermas Super Dog. She has 5 wins and 259 points in LP and SPO in her short career. She has been described as wicked fast by those that saw her trial. She has been described to me by judges as maybe the best bitch they ever saw run. She also was described as a deer lover, but 3 times she has refused deer while wearing an e-collar. I finally got some pups out of her after a miss with Argentival Striker. I now have 5 pups on the ground out of IFC Speedy Sport, 1 female runt and 4 males. I can't wait to get them started.
