I think that John Davis in Penn owns him.Luke is out of Scooters Little chief. We own his brother Fareast Singing Ranger.I have not seen Luke run but have heard he is big, fast and hunts hard,I think he won the Penn state Lp hunt last year.Lynn Perkins has seen him run so he can prob give you better insight on him.Terry McBride has some pups advertised on the trading post out of a brother of chief(Scooters Lucky Wizard).

I knew he won the Penn St. hunt. People around here said that farrel Smith owned him and sold him to somebody in canada for 3500. I think that was after he won the Hunt. Thats what I was told but I don't know. I do have 2 young dogs off of him that I really like. Someone told that they watched him run and said they was snow on the ground that day and they said he was the only one that could run a rabbit. I would like to know who owns the dog myself if anyone finds out.

Luke is owned by John Davis of Elkins WV. Luke did win the 2004 Little Pack Pa State Hunt and placed second in 2005. I have hunted with Luke several times. He hunts hard, and runs with a lot of power. He also has a very loud mouth that really stands out in a pack. I have a young male out of Luke that is doing very well, and I have seen a couple of other hounds out of him that seem to show a lot of hunt.

JMurphy what is the pedigree on your male. I was just talking to Terry Mcbride a few days ago and was trying to find the mate to Lucky Wizard that is suppose to be down here in the U.S. somewhere. What is your number or email.

Kingsway:
The papers on Singer are at my Dad's.If I am correct his dam is Snowshoe Little lady the 2nd.He is not a mate to Chief. He is out of Chief. He is a mate to Luke.I think the dog you are referring to is Scooters Blue jet Flame(or Blue Flame jet).He is a littermate to chief and Wizard.I have a little 12 f out of him and Steve Laux's Bessie dog.I think Steve kept at least one out of that cross that has places in large pack on hare.I purchased the female from Dave Vondoloski who had got her from Steve Laux. She is a nice hound. The last I heard the Jet dog had 3 wins but wasnt being trialed anymore. The Up guys of Michigan could prob give you more current info as I havent spoken to anyone about it in over a year.

It's funny that you mentioned Terry because I saw his ad on the Wizard pups the other day and thought that one of them would be a nice pup to have.

Did you breed a female to Luke or did you purchase a pup from John Davis?

The dog I have out of Luke came from Farrel Smith and that is also who John bought Luke from. I never measured Luke but he is definitely close to fifteen inches.

I've had the pleasure of judging Luke a couple times. He's a VERY nice hound. Fast, hunts hard, and can drive a rabbit. The last time I judged a cast with Luke in it was this years PA State hunt. The score was 100 (Luke) to 0 to 0 to 0 to 0. He grabs a check and glides with it. He's an impressive hound....
