looking for best stud

looking for best stud

Post by J&K Kennels »

Looking for something fast that holds tight to the line and is tight in a check. My female is branko bred. She has a first in ukc. She's only been in two trials.

Find you a stud that has the same qualities you like in your female. Go watch him run see if he is what you want to breed to. Compare how his breeding and style matches your female. Still no sure thing in breeding. We take a chance every time we breed. Just a better shot if you breed the best you got to the best you can find.

For got to state from ukc trialers i have talked Branko's Mystry Man is the real thing. Have never seen him run. Just from talking to other people. But it might pay you to check with denny dugan. Ask to see him run then make up your mind. If not what your looking for find you another stud.

Good points Joey. One other thing I personally consider very close is: What is the dog producing? I agree it's important to see the stud run if possible, but to me, I put even more emphasis on talking to people that have bred to him before and see how their pups turned out. There are hounds out there that are superb dawgs, but cannot seem to produce any better than they are, alot of times worse. Then I've seen a few that were just mediocre dogs that seemed to always produce better than average pups (all things being equal and they were bred to above-average bitches).

If you have talked with Joey on the web you should know his ideal of breeding is buy another dog. Good boy but a little hard to control when it comes to a beagle. He just likes his dogs. All he ever does is run his beagles. But at least i always know where he is.
