Ever heard of this breeding
I am going to pick up a hound today in Virginia. The guy says the hound is Brushy Mountain breeding. I have never heard of this bloodline. If some of you more experienced houndsman out there knows anything about this bloodline of hounds, I sure would appreciate any information. Thanks

Bandit is a 14'' black and tan with a big blocky head. He had upper medium to fast speed on a track with a big deep voice. In the search and hunt department he was sort of moody. Sometimes he would hunt good and others he would not hunt so well, but when another dog struck he was right in there. His breeding has some Patch in him and some Greenwoods Blue Creek Bear. His lack of consistant search is the main reason I sold him. I sold him to a friend of mine who in turn sold him to a young man named Stewart Maxfield. I talked to Maxfield about a year after he bought Bandit and he said he was hunting better. I still have some pictures of him and I think I have some video tape of him and some other dogs of mine running. If I can be of any more assistance feel free to e-mail me at joerobinson@area-net.com
Roseweed,
I talked with you about buying Bandit several years ago. He must be about 7 now or 8. If you can't find the photo's i still have the ones you sent me. At the time i was looking for a good stud but i wanted all patch breeding like my bitches that is the only reason i passed. I will say i do remember him having very outstanding looks.

Joe,
I did! I have 12 dogs in my kennel. 11 all Patch and 1 old Crain Garretson female that is 7 years old. Good luck with your Patch Hounds they are definately a pleasure to own and hunt. Get with me sometime and we can run. I run a fast hound so if you get something that may have too much foot let me know. I like to hare hunt and have always liked a faster hound that often doesn't suit others.
