WHERE ELSE WOULD YOU RATHER BE!

You guys make me want to drive down south and kiss those hounds! Congratulations on the win and the second place! Hard work and good hounds allways pays off!
Deerfield and I attended Glendale NY trial on Sat. Sorry but cant brag on a trophy this weekend. However we made it through second series with Max and Baron with bad, bad, bad scenting conditions most of the day. Snow and frozen grounds made it almost impossible to circle a rabbit through first round, and not much better later on.
We had a great time and I got to introdue Deerfield to alot of top guys in the hare trials, including Art Beamer, (IFC maple Lane itchy Bawls, juts to name one of the many he has finished over the last 40 yrs) Win, loose, or draw it should be all about the fun and laughs! My advise to all is allways keep the trials fun for both you and your hounds. When its not fun anymore get out, or find the magic again.

Great going guys! and Sam, thanks for making the trip, I had a blast with ya!

Ya know Rick your always welcome here in Tenn and you can bring the barn burner hounds to, to give ol Major a little bit of exercise.lol

Me and T Clouse ran hounds until late last nite, it was some of the best solid races we had all year, them hound was put to the test. I ran my Major hound and his 2 offspring 12 hrs straight in the field.

I'm gonna keep my hounds in good shape just in case you decide to come for a visit, so i can aleast try to hang with them hounds of yours.

Joking aside we would look forward to having you come run anytime.

Does everyones Sy pups come out with bloody tails? I can track mine in the snow. I have two males that are bleeding as soon as they are in the brush. As long as they are driving bunnies I don't care. Just wondering if they are all doing it.

TAILS

Post by ANTHONY KERR »

My socks dog has a long tail and hunting in the briars in North Carolina it stayed torn up and bloody all year. I would catch glimpses of her sometimes biting at it while hunting.
No great trophy stories this week. I drove 5 hours one way to be eliminated in the first cast on Saturday. Socks will be on maternity leave until the summer. She was in a cast of pretty big males and did very little.
Thats just the field trialing game. I did not even need to see the scorecard to know she was beaten. I still love her though and she will give em hell again soon.

Down here in the S.E. if your dog is running a rabbit he will be bloody. I mostly have Syris blood and they all get bloody tails.

My embarassment has caused me to practice twice as hard. I think after a tip I picked up over the weekend it is coming back all of a sudden. I enjoyed playing with you guys. Lets try it again next year. I'll buy the beer.
When are we going to run hounds ?
