8x8 kennel should it have a slanted roof?

Post by Colesbeagles »

I'm going to be building a new above ground kennel here soon it will be 8x8 split down the middle to hold 4 dogs should I need to slant the roof? I'd really rather not but thought I would ask. Thanks

I would put a slant on a kennel. would also put a gutter on to collect rain water off of it. Use the rain water to wash out your kennels (55 gallon drum). If you search for kennels in here you will see some nice set ups. I have Seneca kennels, so far they are the best kennels I have had. Three kennels all inside a 20x10x6 run. Run is filled with pea gravel, and I have sand boxes under each kennel (kind like a litter box). rake the poop, mix the sand, and no odors. Boxes are full of cedar chips.
