Made some kennel improvements

So in the worst possible weather for North Carolina (snow+ice) and the combination of being cooped up in close proximity of my wife for too long :D I decided today was one of those perfect days to get some stuff done. So I called up one of the guys who works with me on side jobs sometimes and we set out to do some kennel improvements.
I started off by just going to put the green barn metal on the roofs of all my kennels but after getting ambitious decided I was going to make my above ground kennels look like a polebarn. So off we went to Lowes and after nearly sliding in the ditch managed to come home with more metal and insulation. With all the metal except, the corner pieces I can say this looks awesome and I should have done it along time ago. I used some of spurs73 ideas and put fold down doors on both sides of the doghouse that way in the hot summer months I can fold it down and help get air flow into the dogs. Also went ahead and made doors in the back of ALL my boxes so it would be easier to change bedding.
I will post some pics as soon as I get the corners on and maybe it will help give someone some ideas. I am starting on a whelping pen this next week complete with a camera, Scotts Whelping Nest, Flooring from FarmTek, hog rail, and am going to wrap it in barn siding. It should be nice. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas many of you have provided.

the camera in the whelping box is a good idea my step dad has cameras in his foaling stalls for the horses and it works great.

ShaneR- I will try to take some pictures this week. Not quite finished yet I still have to put the corner pieces on and trim and wrap around all the doors. Overall I have been quite tickled with how it turned out. Here in the next few weeks I am going to start on a new kennel that will have eight seperate compartments. A good friend gave me some 6x6 post and that is what I am going to use for the legs. If I ever have to move it I will have to use a tractor for sure and haul it on a flat bed semi trailer.

Looks nice but I agree think the larger they are the harder they would be to move. Thinking about making mine in singles so I can move them around. Like the potable chicken pens just off the ground.
