Going to build some new kennels. What is everyone's opinion on the best type?

i voted other. i have above ground kennels but the floor is from rabbit fever. he has a pic of his kennels in a thread thats towards the top. its a molded plastic floor that comes in 2x3 foot sections. clean up is a breeze and it will outlast me. great product that i would recommend to anyone...keith

I voted other. I have above ground but i used trex decking for the floor. I built a 6x6 plat form then layed decking down it cleans up very nicely and there is no splinters or rotten boards to replace.Josh

above ground with Kenneltuff plastic flooring. I think it is similar to TRex. 1.1 inch square holes in 2' x 4' sheets.

IM going to build a new above ground kennell, this summer i hppe, if things go right. Bottom floring i will be using chain link,sides the same. Roof fiber glass sheats or alumium. Before i get to far into this don't laugh about the chain link, because i used it on 2 of my old pens and the dogs walked on it with no trouble at all, but a board down the middle, positively no dirty pens.

I've built several above ground kennels over the years. To do a really nice job... really figure the time and money you'll put into it.. and if it's primarily wood it will only last so many years no matter how well you treat it. What I'm getting at is that for me, ordering some nice above ground Seneca kennels was cheaper in the long run and a much nicer set up that will probably out last me.

i voted other. above ground with plastic flooring. seems to last and easy on feet..
