Fencing under pea gravel?

What kind of fencing are you using under the pea gravel? Will chain link lie flat?

I have some chain link under pea gravel but you have to make sure it is staked down some how. I used wire that is 2" by 4" under most of my kennel. It works great.

The sides of my pen under the ground I have landscaping timbers. I nailed the fencing to this.

I always kept the 1x1 wire underneath my kennels with the pea gravel covering it. I also put down landscaping fabric first to keep the gravel from going into the ground. I kept 4x4 around the back and sides to ensure that the gravel didnt get pushed out. This seemed to work well. Hope this helps.
