this is what i do to keep my dogs cool and comfortable around the house and in truck dog box. all you need is some plastic milk jugs or small plastisc 2 litters or even 24oz. bottles. all you need to do is freeze the water and then place the frozen bottle in the dog house or dog box when trasporting the dogs in the heat. the frozen bottle acts as a cooling system for the dog or animal, but if you are transporting the dog i recomened using a old blanket in the box to keep the container for sliding around. then even in a dog house the blanket will soak up the cool sweat from the bottle and help keep the dog comfortable. the dog may not keep the banket in the dog house. so just putting a milk jug or more in their will do as well. i realy like doing this when i'm transporting the dog because it helps keep them cool and they can also lick the sweat from the container!

Been doing this for years here in Texas, and for the most part it does work great, but you will get an occasional hard head that wants to eat the jug. LOL

My dogs love frozen 2 litter bottles of watter, they will play and chew on them, and have a big time.
