JUST FINISHED BOX

Post by les guynn »

I Have a litter of patch pups, so i had to build a puppie kennel. I wanted to build to last and ready for pups from now on, so a buddie of mine has a large work shop with every saw made, and he said let me help you build this pen, since he never built a dog pin i was the boss. started out makeing the frame out of treated lumber, used 1x2 for the flooring with a one and half gap, 48x50. Then we decided how we where going to build the whelping box, used three querter inch plywood for floor, attached 2x2 strips all around sides, Then used 2 inch PVC PIPE on top of block for the bumper block for pups not to be layed on. Then we built a box for any regular dog on side, then we added three quarter inch plywood to sides and back, inside dog door a hallway leading to sleeping quarters, on the back of box cut a hole into dog box and in to the puppie box, used hinches and slide bolt on both. Used chain link coated green on the sides, used rupper based 4x6 sheets of roofing on roof. For the entrance door i used 3 Q plywood, noticed that most dogs try the door first, locked with slide bolt. Most of it but together with screws and large lag screws in corner post. GOD BLESS
