More Advice On Training Pen
I have a three acre lot that I am thinking about making into a puppy training pen... The lot already has steel posts, and barbed wire fence around the entire lot. I was wondering what the best fence would be at the lowest cost... I was also curious if the fence needed to be buried a little in the ground to keep the rabbits from digging out.... Or maybe the rabbits won't try to dig...Anyways if I could get some feed back on this I would appreciate it thanks...

you might try http://www.louispage.com they have some good wire and it has a apron so you wouldn't have to burie it and it seems to be at a reasonable price.
I would recommend using 1" X 1" meshed wire that is coated in vinyl it might cost a little more but it lasts longer so actually in the long run it's cheaper. I'm not sure if the fencing that has the apron would cost more or not but if it does cost more and you want to save some $$ just fold the fencing about 1 foot and stake it down or lay rocks or whatever is laying around that would hold it down.

you can make sure the ground is bare a foot out fron the posts, then bend the wire a foot and stake it down, then plant orchard grass seed over it , to hold it firm. Spend the extra on vinyl coated wire for rust proofing or I knew an old timer who dipped his in asphalt like sealant and it was going strong for 20 years. 3 acres is pretty small pen dont skimp on materials or in 8 years you'll have holes in it. Keep the edges clean so you can see the fence to repair it and you'll need a hot wire over the top to keep out critters. Good luck
