Dog house size?

I have just built A new kennel. I am planning on attaching dog houses to the outside of each run. I was wanting to know What size box does everyone use? I am planning on needing it to house only 2 or 3 dogs per run.

I have a similar setup. My houses or 3'x4' & also plastic drums.

Alot depends where you live,I live in central Pa and it is cold,it was minus 8 the other day.I make mine for 2 dogs 36 by 30 with a wind break inside.I only make mine 16 inches high inside to keep more heat. I use treated plywood inside 3 inches of insulation and t 1 11 outside with a shingle roof.
