looking good so far.

I'd spray down under there with some kind of weed killer. Get rid of all them weeds. Maybe take a trimmer to it.

Kennel looks good

I made one for under one of my above grounds, sort of like just two side supports tilted down. Then i biult a square frame out of 2x3s and put a sheet of currigated pvc roofing on it that slide into the frame under the kennel. The whole thing slide in and out like a draw. I slide it out ounce a day when i feed the dogs and use a plastic scoop to clean the poop off it. Then I keep a bucket with a little Anti bacterial sope in it and a touch of bleach diluted in water and a long broom handled brush and I just give it a quik brush and slide the whole thing back in. It works great no smell what so ever. Once or twice a week I mix some new sope and water and always keep it by the kennel. the poop goes in a bucket with alittle lime in it and I throw it in the trash once a week.....dh If I get a chance I'll post a pic

Update: The dogs are now in the kennel. The kennel is not complete though, I still need to put a roof and gutter on it. The downspout from the gutter is going to empty at the top of the slide. A water slide for poop! So far the slide works great. I hardly ever see poop in the dogs pens. I spray the slide down about once a week. Not difficult at all. At first, there were leaves on it with the poop and it was a little more difficult. Now it slides right down. At the end of the slide there is a steep hill. Poop just follows gravity. I think it works great. Winter time will be the test. Usually, here, where I live, we don't have real long stretches of weather too cold to use the hose.

looks good and i have done the same on some above ground kennels before i pour my 11x33 pad and just some of the only problems i had with this set up is i wished i had put up some low side panels so you won't have run off in the back an front other wise you will be walking in poop when you get the hounds out plus it will be on the ground and then your spreading it everywhere then the smell comes and plus the ground gets soft and you must put straw down often or you will be knee deep in mud and poop when you wash down. so i would consider some type of a side panel as a block when washing from under it to block the over spray.
otherwise it looks great, nice looking pens.

Donnie, I don't really have too much of that type of problem. Mine is 12x20 and the poop I spray out goes directly down a hill, out of the way. It kind of dissolves on the down.

i'm helping my son build his kennels now and we are going to make it where we can put splash panels on if needed, but his kennel is smaller than most i have built. The option will be there if needed.
Good deal.
