How wide is your above ground Kennel?

I'm going to build a new kennel here shortly and was wondering how wide you guys make your kennels.

I'm wanting to build a 4ft wide x 10ft long above ground kennel for 2 dogs.

Is this wide enough?

I have three runs that are 4ft wide and 8ft long . works great for 2 dogs.

I built my above ground kennel 10' wide by 8' long with 5 sections.

my above ground kennells are 4 x 8 with 6 runs built together when ya build yours be shure to leave a overhang all way round to keep water from running in i got a 6 in over hang on mine and try tokeepit high enough to clean underneath i take a long handle shovel n run it all way through the shovel has a 8 ft handel its called a bug dust shovel used in coal mines works great jb

Those are huge! Each run on mine is 3' wide x 5' long w/ a 3' x 3' box on the back.

I agree coolbreeze, I'm not sure what the purpose for so much room in the kennel is I guess people think a dog is getting exercise or something, who knows? mine are 24' wide 4' long with a 24"x24" box on it and 36" off the ground. easy to clean and the mess isnt spread all over the place. I've read where some lower kennels to make it easier to load dogs but I dont make a career out of putting a dog away or getting it out, I spend more time cleaning under them so I want them high enough to make the cleaning easy as possible.

my kennels are 16 ft wide 8 foot deep with 6 2foot 8 inch runs wide and 5 foot long with 2x12 boxes on it and they work great

I had three 4'x8' kennels for years but just built a new one to replace them, that is 8'x10' with three forty inch wide runs in it and I keep two dogs in each run with a Senaca dog box in the back.

THATS PLENTY WIDE ENOUGH MINE ARE 3 FEET WIDE AND THEY DO GREAT IN THEM

mine is 2x8 with a 2 ft x 2 1/2 ft box

I'll be building an above ground also, but right now, I have them in a 10x10 kennel on a a concrete slab. It;s divided into 2 5x10's. It does have a tin roof on it, but I noticed that my dogs will follow the shade around to keep cool. So the nice thing about a larger run or kennel is that they have some freedom to find the coolest (or warmest) place to be. Not nesecarelly for the exercise.

mine is coverd by apple trees all day long so i dont have that problem

mine are covered as well and insulated so shade and warmth are not an issue and easy to maintain to boot, works for me
