starting pen fence question

What is a good way to pull the fence tight, I am folding over the 1st foot of the fence, . I also put a guide wire at 2ft, and 4ft, thanks for any help

You can't really pull it tight as it will stretch and only shrink down on the height of the fence. We only pull hand tight while a couple of the boys put on the hog rings and zip ties(a loose fence is harder to climb). We have used a couple of 2X4's, 4' long bolted together with the wire sandwiched inbetween, then pull on the 2X4's to evenly hold the wire taught while others fasten the wire to the stringers at the top and bottom.
I'd sacrifice the wire a 2' before I'd leave off the wire at ground level. The bottom wire holds the fence down to the ground and keep critters from sliding under and geting into your pen.
