Training

After a number of years out of rabbit hunting and numerous geographical locations I am considering purchasing a pup to train and hunt. I currently reside in Nevada and there are four different species of rabbit here the Blacktail Jack, Whitetail Jack, Cottontail, and Pygmy. My question is when training a new pup is there any way to train them to run only the game species? Here in nevada the blacktail is the dominant species and considered a nuisance and shot and left in the field this goes against everything my hunter father taught me. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated thanks.

After a couple of days, seeing your post go unanswered, I just wanted to say, We see it, but that's a tuff one. I can't offer any advice on the subject. Do they all taste the same and which of the four were you trying to get the dogs to track?
