Too dependent of me! what do i do...

Post by sweetman6924 »

my 1 1/2 year old female is too dependent of me in the woods, she runs great and takes her awhile to actually get serching...becasue she is an awsome jump dog when she's in the woods, but doesn't like to leave me very far. and only sometimes with another dog. Is there anything i can do about it, it really bothers me becuase she is a good dog...and because of it when she looses the track she gives up after about 5 min. and comes back to see where i am.

Too dependent

Praise the Lord!!! I have the opposite problem. My 2 beagles (3 & 1 1/2) took off while were horseback riding for pleasure and were gone for 9 days. Do you have any suggestions? We are thinking about electronic collars.

my dog became too close to me because until she was about 5 months old she slept with me and she is totaly deer broke! and she will hunt with me only about up to 150 yards at the most and i have other dogs that go wide and there the ones that usally find the rabbit first because they go wide...so thats why i would like her to go out farther when im hunting....you can either become close to your dogs or you can use shock collars to warn them when they start to go out to far away just give them a zap.and do it if they won't come when called.

best of luck...
