tapeworm treatments

what is the best treatment for tapeworms in beagles? pills, shots or liquid?
where can i buy these meds? can i buy the vaccination my self?

You'll have a hard time finding the meds to treat tapeworms. Most over-the-counter wormers are ineffective. The best thing to do is get an injection at the vet.

Tapeworms come either from ingesting fleas or rodents, so that needs to be taken care of, too.

Droncit or Drontal from the vet does a good job on tapes and will get any other intestinal parasites at the same time. It's a one-dose tablet or pill at about $6-$8 a whack. Given twice a year should keep tapes at bay.
