foot issues
I have a male pup he will be a year old in late March. A couple weeks ago we went on an all day sun up to sun down hunt and by the end of the day he was carrying one of his hind legs and wouldnt put that foot down unless they had a good race going. When we got home I looked his foot over super good and found nothing in it but when I would pinch his toes he would yelp in obvious pain. So I just put him up for week or so and he finally started putting that foot down and trotting around the pen. So today we went on another all dayer and he put on a show. Well when I got home after a 45 min. drive same story wont put that foot down acts like its very tender. ADVICE ????

Re: foot issues
He's just an old tender foot
. I have had a couple in the past do that and couldn't find anything wrong at first and on one I finally found a briar between two of her toes. She would run on it when smelling a rabbit but would carry it otherwise.

Re: foot issues
might be an internal abcess. i have a male with one that bothers him from time to time. simplicef and prednisone for 10 days and all is good.

Soak his feet in Kerosene.
