Looking at changing some things up with wormers. Is anyone using this stuff and if you are please let me know what you think about it. I'm currently looking at either Strongid T, Strongid with Ivomec, or going with PPO. Already use Nemex2 with younger pups. I have 5 dogs, so switching to PPO will cost me.....1 dog = $13 per year (5 dogs = $65 per year)
PPO Wormer Same as Drontal Plus
This wormer offers
total protection from all 11 intestinal worms (including roundworm, whipworm, hookworm, tapeworm and hydatid tapeworm). Contains Praziquantel, Pyrantel and Oxantel. Treat once every three months. Safe for puppies from 2 weeks of age, as well as pregnant & lactating bitches, working dogs, greyhounds and senior dogs. Can be safely combined with flea and tick treatments. Does not prevent heartworm.
10kg tabs (one tablet treats 10kg bodyweight = 22 pounds) Available as single tablets
PPO Wormer Tablets Price: $3.25 each[/color]
Can be purchased from:

Steve, I've been using PPO for acouple years now and it works good for me. Easy to use too. 1 pill every three months takes care of everything for three months except for heartworms.

pretty sure im going to start using PPO with Nemex2 as my back up.....anyone know the shelf life of these pills? sounds like they go on back order a lot. $3.25 a pill x4 isnt bad at all considering you dont have to buy anything to treat tape. I just hate feeding dogs pills!!!!

I have been using PPO pills for awhile now and have haven't had any problems, will keep on using them with alternating with Ivomectin in the summers months. My pups start out with pancaur or strongid T. I have been ordering the PPO pills from James Golden and Chuck Prather here on the board, they both are good to deal with.

The Vets around here give a shot of Ivermec when you go for worm treatment.
I use Equimax Horse wormer that is maninly Ivermex 1.87% and another wormer Pretizol (or something like that spelling) for the rest. Got the one with both on the box and no more worms, including tapes and heartworms. Worms 12 Beagles or one beagle 12 times for $12.00.
Its all I use and only give it every month that Mosquitoes are out wherever you live. Fleas and ticks don't like the blood of dogs that have this in them either.

Jack,
One click each.
Mine are all 14-15 inch regular weight Beagles. I put it in a folded I/4 piece of bread and give a few pieces first then give the one with it in it.
