What is the earliest you have ever heard of a gyp coming back into heat after having pups?

Had a lab female come in 4 months later and took!

Four months after whelping is normal. It is exactly 6 months after her last heat.

maybe it was odd that the other females i always had took longer

woodbrier, I've only had a handful of females that were on the clock regular. Most are always off just a little - some one have one heat a year. Go figure?

I knew what their regular cycle was but I have heard of a couple of gyps coming in two months after they have had pups. I just didn't know if this would be a true heat cycle where they would breed or not.

I had anold gyp that came in every 3 months, 4 if she raised pups. she was always in heat.
