Guest...I have used Safe-Guard successfully for quite some time now. There is relatively safe "limits" with S-G as it's not real easy to overdose, so it's a pretty safe wormer. Here is how I use it:
I give adult dogs 3cc's for three consecutive days. I just put the tips of the syringes together and push the plunger on the big S-G syringe until my small syringe fills to 3cc's. A good vet told me that S-G given 3 consecutive days will get all intestinal worms, including tapes. He stated to me that the active ingredient (fendenbazole...{{spelling??}} ) needed to stay in the dog's system for 3 days in a row to successfully remove tapes.
For pups, I use Nemex II until they get to the age of 4 months, then I start using S-G, and adjust the amount according to their body weight.
I'm not a vet, just a houndsman who has used this regiment and had good success. Hope this helps you some.

GUEST--- I AGREE WITH DARRIN, I HAVE USED SAFE-GURAD PASTE FOR ABOUT 5 & 1/2 YEARS NOW. AND HAVE HAD VERY GOOD RESULTS WITH IT.
3CC'S FOR 3 STRAIGHT DAY'S IS THE WAY MY VET TOLD ME TO DO IT ALSO, TO GET THEM ALL. AND I DO IT THE SAME WAY DARRIN DOES IT.
WITH ONLY A SLIGHT CHANGE FOR MY PUPS, I USE NEMEX II UNTIL THEY ARE 6-MONTHS OLD, OR AS I START THEM IN THE PEN. THEN I MAKE THE SWITCH OVER TO THE PASTE.
I WAS ALSO TOLD BY A VET OF VERY GOOD STANDING AWHILE BACK THAT I NEED TO SWITCH WORMERS EVERY SO OFTEN TO KEEP THE WORMS FROM BUILDING UP IMMUNITY TO THE WORMER.
SO EVERY YEAR, I SWITCH MY WORMER AND USE IT FOR A YEAR.
THE TYPE DEPENDS ON YOUR DOGS, AND WHAT THEY CAN HANDLE, IT DOESN'T TAKE LONG TO FIGURE IT OUT.
MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU, BUT IT HAS BEEN WORKING FOR ME FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS.
