lump on back

9yr old female. I just noticed a lump on her.little puss coming out.hair is a little loose.lump on back.any suggestions,besides taking to vet? thanks.

look for a thorn --- wash it with some good disinfection
ALWAY GO BY THE RULES AND NEVER A PROBLEM
