I don't think i would use this on pups, big dogs ok. Use regular puppy wormer can buy at Tracter Supply or Wal-mart, liquid form.

The 100 ml bottle at Tractor Supply is labeled as Goat Wormer. It's given in same dosage as it's exactly the same minus the label.

I give safeguard wormer a big thumbs down. Call and ask the vet before using. My vet says NO! I took a pup to the vet and it had tape worms. She had been wormed at 2,4, and 6 weeks with Nemex2. I wormed her at 8 weeks and 10 weeks with Safeguard horse wormer (enough for double her body weight plus some) and she was still wormy. Vet said she has seen a lot of this problem in dogs, goats, and cattle. Safeguard is a waste of time and money IMO. Just use generic Drontal Plus when they hit 8 weeks. Saving money is great, but not at the expense of unhealthy pups.

Safe-Guard is no longer effective at the current recommended dosage.

You must give them 1cc per 4.4lbs twice a day for 3 days to get rid of worms. It does work, but because of the dosage required it is expensive and inconvenient.
