I really don't know what the problem is with some dogs and their hair. but I had two pup in my kennel and they never had bad shedding hair. I have always fed good food. Now I picked up three more dogs and they were real bad when I got them but they are doing alot better. Thiis time of year has had a lot to do with it. I would just keep watching it and stuf they should lose their winter coat very soon.
There is also a pill that you can get at Wal-Mart or something like that for their coat.
another remedy that I do for my coon hound that I bench show is give them like one egg a day make sure you boil it for about 5m so that it will kill the disease that it can give them. but that alone will make a difference with their coat texture.

Get some cod liver oil and pour a little Maybe a tablespoon over your dogs feed once a day. They'll have pretty and shiny coats within a month.
