My 4 yr old female all of the sudden stopped eating. She hasn't eaten a 1/4 of a bowl of food in 4 days. Before at feeding time she would drive me nuts by barking so much till it was her turn. I'm not sure whats going on.

If they don't eat or can't crap something is wrong, take her to the vet. She is already on empty at this point, If she doesn't eat her body will shut down. Get her in!!!!!!!

I should add that it started when the temp dropped.

one thing you can try is raw hotdogs. Go buy a pack of hotdogs. break it up into little pieces see if she'll eat them out of your hand. Bring her into the house if you have to warm her up some. another thing you can try is get a dog food bowl. fill it with kibble. then go to the faucet and add warm water to the kibble.

if that don't work. TAKE HER TO THE VET

I had one to do the same thing. If she means anything to you take her to the vet. Mine didnt eat for nearly 14 days and all she was getting was what i forced down her. Never did figure out what was wrong but when they become malnourished then the immune systems gets weak and other problems start to happen.

When the temps get below freezing I add warm water to there food. Last night after watching her only eat a mouth full or 2, I warmed up a bowl of stew (roast meat, carrots, corn, potatoes, broth) She started to eat it some. But I figured she's tear into it. I wormed the dogs Sunday as well, I'm wondering if that may have something to do with it. It never has before but just wondering. I use Ivomec.

It's been near 0 F that last few nights, if the body core temperature drops, digestion will stop and they will loose their appetite. I'd suggest bring her in or adding some heat to get her body core temp up and you should see her desire to eat come back.
I've had two that acted the same way and a night in the feed room with the heat lamp brought them back around.
Need lots and lots of bedding/insulation...dang cold out there at night... ;)

Your dog may have a blockage, which need prompt veterinary intervention.

However, if your dog is still pooping, but has pail gums and is urinating an orange color ...

((( Consider This )))
