Thats A LONG time between pups.....
Every Time we have had them they always seem to have em one right after another with no more than a couple hours between pups.if they go longer than 3 we usually get em to the vet...

WOW! The only time I have seen labor go anywhere close to that long was a friend's lab that began at dark (in the winter) and had them all night long and all over the yard! On the ground, in the wood pile, hanging in the boxwoods, under a lawnmower, etc. My friend got me out of bed to come over and help. Apparently, the first time mom left the whelping area my friend set up (for a restroom break?) and gave birth to the first pup and which caused her to panic. She had a total of ten pups (or at least that is how many we found!). It was like an Easter Egg Hunt - only easier due to the crying of the cold and hungry pups. Fortunately, the weather was on the mild side and the pups all survived as best I can recall. We thought we might have to bottle feed the pups for a while. However, once we got the pups rounded up and quiet, she settled in to her motherly duties like a pro! Good luck with your litter!

My buddy just had a similar story with his lab. She had 13 and is a first time mother. She was having them everywhere and it took about 24 hrs for her to have them all. She seems to be doing alright with them now.

i keep oxytocin on hand
the vet should sell it to you
you never give it to them before the first pup is born
after about 3 hours of first delivery you give her a shot
i would have to look at the dosage on bottle but vet will be able to tell you
i just boght some in december to have on hand for my bitch it was only $8.00
i didnt need to use it but it has helped with another bitch that i raised 4 litters out of and she had trouble everytime
it is worth your time to check into it for future use
i would not raise a litter without it around at birthing time
