pregnancy/heat cycles

I have a gyp whose heat cycles ran in feb and aug. A year ago right now, she was in heat and I had her bred. That was her first pregnancy. She carried a litter of two to term, but they died at birth. I didn't pay attention when she came into heat this past summer. I thought she'd have been in heat by now, but she isn't. will a pregnancy throw any future heat cycles off of the schedule that the dog used to have?
thanks

Yes on some females it will. Some of my females don't come in season for 2 months later then they would have if not having pups, but then again some of them will go in season 4 months after whelping pups. It all depends on that females own time clock.
