Doc:
Have a female in 4 days in heat and on two .6 Soloxine tyroid pills per day. Should I continue with the pills after she is bred?
Another female I had years ago was taken off of them after breeding for fear of hurting the puppies development. I have sinced moved and my new vet claims soloxine will not hurt the pups and the female needs it to maintain appropriate levels. Just wanted a third opinion.
If it matters, the female is seven years old and has welped one litter. Also she is on a Prescription K/D for a mild kidney condition detected in her bloodwork. Thanks ahead for your time.
