shots

Post by RHYRE »

I just purchased 2 new dogs. 1 is six months and the other is 8 months. I don't know if the guy I got them off of gave them their shots. I was just wonering how to catch them up. I have always raised puppies and started their shots @ 5 weeks and then boosters evry year. I was wondering because I am planning to send them to a starting pen and I have heard of dogs leaving pens with parvo. Thanks

Why don't you ask the guy you bought them from?
If for some unexplainable reason you are not able to obtain this valuable information then you had best give the pups at least three shots two weeks apart starting immediatley. I would NOT send them to a starting pen or a stranger's kennel until they have been vaccinated thoroughy. But, that's just me. MHO
