Bad paw

I bought my fist two gun dog this past January. I wanted two dog that were running and ready to go to the woods. I got them locally for $300.00 and I did get to see them run, they both run rabbits and hunt hard.
Both dogs are 4 years, I new that one dog had a bad paw but it did not look that bad I took her to the vet and started her on antibiotics to get the infection out so the vet could take the dew claws of the dog she thought that was the problem. The vet took the dew claws of in July. The paw has never healed completely, it did get better but only if she is on the antibiotics.
What started as one bad spot turned into 4 and I got frustrated with the vet and went to another vet. The second vet did a good job with this problem and in the last 5 weeks we have got it 98% healed but I just can’t get it to heal completely.
Is there anyone out there with any advice for getting the skin to heal over that last little bit, Or was the paw infected to long and may never heal. Are there good products out there that can help, or is this just a lesson learned?
THANKS DAVE
