tail down and sensitive

Post by AKbeagle »

About a two weeks ago, I had a full of energy beagle that ran around with his tail always up and wagging. It appearred that overnight his tail dropped, barely wagged, and he was sore around his rear. I took him to the vet who said his one of his anal sacs was very full. she emptied it, checked for worms and such (all clear), and sent us on our way.
However, I still have a droopy tailed beagle. If I lift his tail, he pulls away like it is still sore. He used to sit on his rear, now he sits to the side.
ideas?

I would have the dog examined again. Might even be necessary to do some radiographs to lokk for some sort of trauma. Doc S

Those anal sacs can get infected and burst. One of mine had to have his removed.
