Safe-guard 10% paste

Post by Tennessee Hunter »

Anyone use safeguard paste for beagles? What is the dosage that you should give. I notice a small grey/white worm in my beagles stool this morning while hunting, about 1/4" long. What kind of worm is it? I have the paste but have been worried about administering it. I have been told one turn???

Sounds like a tapeworm. 1ml/5# bodyweight once a day for 3 days. Squirt it into the back end of a syringe and measure/administer it that way. Doc S

i use safeguard it works well for me, i just squirt a line apx3/4 of 1inch on the back of the toung once a day for three days, repete every 90 days this seems to work well with my beagles seems to keep them free of worms....... my vet told me to watch the gums if they turn more white than usual, this usualy means theres a worm problem.

best of luck

I think it's 1cc/30lbs body weight once a day for three days is the proper dosage.
