there have been some really good dogs lost to it in the last few years. I think it scars the lungs if you are lucky enough to get it cured. Most times I think the dogs are dead before you realize something is wrong. I am almost sure this is what got my Jihad dog a few years ago.

HE IS STILL NOT EATING, WE ARE HAVING TO FORCE FEED EVERY BITE. THE VET HAS GIVE US SOME APETITE PILLS THAT IS SUPPOSED TO INCREASE HIS APETITE HOPEFULLY IT WILL WORK. HE HAS JUST ABOUT WILTED AWAY TO NOTHING, BUT WE DONT WANT TO GIVE UP ON HIM NOW. HAVE YOU EVER HAD ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS OR NO ANYONE WHO HAS? THANKS FOR ASKING ABOUT HIM. AMANDA LYONS

I haven't had any experience with it, however I know your pain of watching him like that. Are you giving him pedialite? Nutracal? Nutracal is supposed to have a ton of nutrients and calories, and when I had a bitch that wouldn't eat the vet recommended this to tide her over till she got over her episode of not eating. I know how sick you must be and the complete feeling of helplessness when you can't miraculously heal them. Keep strong, give him lots of love and let him know you are there. I will keep my fingers crossed he will pull through for you.

I NEED ALL THE PRAYERS I CAN GET. WE HAVE BEEN GIVING HIM PEDIALYTE AND ENSURE. THE VET TOLD US THAT WAS THE BEST THING TO GIVE HIM, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS HE WAS DIAGONSED WITH THIS 3 WEEKS AGO AND THE VET SAID TO GIVE HIM THIS ANTIFUNGAL MEDICINE FOR HIS LUNGS AND SAID IF HE GOT THROUGH THE NEXT 3 TO 4 DAYS HE WOULD BE FINE WELL IT HAS BEEN A WEEK I THINK OR LONGER, SORRY DAYS ARE RUNNING TOGETHER. ANYWAYS HE STILL IS NO BETTER. HE WILL DRINK WATER JUST REFUSES TO EAT. WE ARE GOING TO TAKE HIM TO A DIFFERENT VET IN THE MORNING AND SEE WHAT THEY SAY, HOPEFULLY ALL WILL GO WELL. THANKS AGAIN AND PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM TO GET WELL. AMANDA LYONS

Well I hope all will go well for him at the vet, maybe since he has not ate solid foods, his stomach has shrunk so he no longer feels hungry. I hate to hear that he has been so sick and for so long. Hopefully he will get a good diagnosis from the vet, or at least gives you a treatment that will work. I am sure these illneses are just like any other test and re test to get the right antibiotic or treatment. Not a good time of year to not want to eat or drink for sure with the summer heat coming on.

Amanda,
I am sorry to hear about Radar. I bred and raised this dog and he had the making of a good one. I don't know how he ended up but as a young dog he always had hard hunt, again sorry.
