I've need a doc!!! Skin virus???

Post by rabbitthunter »

I noticed a day ago that one of my 3 beagles had little bumps on his head, well I didn't think much about it until my friend that has 6 dogs that we run together called and asked if I noticed any bumps and scabs on my dogs. Well all of his dogs but one has this, there are real small bumbs all over the dogs heads and inside of their ears. In some places on the dogs they are loosing little spots of hair where these bumps are???? Then the next day I look at all my dogs and they are all showing the same things now..??? My friend called a man that he has also run dogs with and the two dogs of his that he ran with the other pack are also showing the same thing....What is this?????????? It feels really dry and is scaley like and bumpy/??????

Here lately, I've also noticed a few "little bumps" on my dogs head and on both sides of their ears. In my case, close investigation revealed, broken thorns/stickers imbedded in their skin. I hope your case is as easy to diagnose and fix.

I've also seen problems as you've described with seed ticks. These are extremely small and raise a pretty good welp.
Dogs don't have to look good to win tittles, but conformation "enhances their chances"!

These bumps are not a few,, they are, like hundreds!!! I mean they are all over the heads and inside of ears and a few on the outside of ears.. They are not contagious as I first thought, my house dog that plays with the beagles does not have any signs of them. and after talking with another guy, only two of his dogs have them.. All the dogs have been run in the same exact area, and they all have them, Some of the other dogs that have run with the same dogs in different places don't have them??????? Weird as hel*!!!! I don't know what it is and neither did the vets, I talked with on the phone..They all seemed to agree that it came on to quick to be a virus or a disease, they think the dogs all got into something there bodies had no immunities to. They said with the weather being so wet this year in ohio that there are things growing that normally don't grow! And they beleive this is what it is from.
