I started my dogs on interceptor, because you recommended it in one of your articles if I remember correctly.

My vet told me yesterday that it was a good preventative measure, but wasn't real good at killing existing worms. What's your take on that?

I noticed they pushed Frontline pretty heavy.

Any thoughts?

Did you vet tell you that you should have heartworm testing done before starting your dogs on any heartworm medication? They consider pups under five months or six months heartworm free. So you can start them on it without a test being done. Any dog older than that should be tested first because they would need to be treated with heartworms and not a preventative if they have them. We have five of our hounds that we treat with interceptor. Interceptor covers whip worms where the shot doesnt. The only thing that I didnt know is that I need to treat seperately for tape worms, which is now on my list of things to do.
