Vomiting Bloody Goo

4 YO bitch seemed fine yesterday, dropped out of a race and started puking a bloody mess. Since then she has thrown up more blood, won't eat and appears about dead. I noticed one of the other dogs had puked or pooped some blood too, but not acting sick. All the dogs are as parasite free as I feel is practical, and that's pretty clean so I am not thinking it is parasite related. This bitch was fat and sassy, greedy feeder and raring to go yesterday so I am guessing she ate something in the woods that she shouldn't have. Ideas?

Is she still alive today?
I would have tried to feed her some raw eggs and bread. If she were in that poor of condition I'd have taken her to the vet. Poison, they will usually fill the gut and pass blood out the rear. Are her gums pale? Do they hack like they have something caught in the throat? I'd get to the vet if you not already :!:

Gums not at all pale. She is drinking water, won't eat. Not acting like anything caught in her like a sharp bone. Not vomiting any more blood, passing dark runny stools now. Probably needs to go to the vet, wish we had a decent one.

Poison is a possibility. I was gone for a couple of days and I have neighbors who are not above poisoning dogs. But I really feel like it is something she found and ate while hunting.

I would give 2cc Pen-g for secondary infection, the blood is coming from somewhere and infection could set-in.
Take temp?... drinking water is good.

Temp is normal, and I have the penicillin. I was told 1 cc for a dog her size, but I don't think 2 will hurt. She is starting to act a little more normal now and eating a little canned dog food and yogurt.
