bathing pups

i have litter 4 wks. tommorrow a few has what i think is dried poop on then and is matted pretty bad just wondering if i should bath them in just plain shampoo to get the poo off. any danger in this idea. :oops: :oops:

I am betting it isn't poo it is that staph infection that you have been seeing questions about on pups. You can bathe them in warm water and dry em real good. I use the sulfadene shampoo especially if I think they have coodies... You can get this or you used to be able to get the sergents sulfadene shampoo at wal mart. If not then use some tegrin shampoo for humans it has sulfer in it, works pretty good.

give er i try .i put warm water on the one let it soak it came clean . think i will bath them anyway. just to make sure. it is not to the skin just the hair.
