puppies itching

Post by billi »

Have a friend with some 6 week old pups that itch constantly. He has wormed them ,dipped them. I suggested maybe Ivormect...seems to me like its on the inside. Still to cold for flys or fleas..Hes raised a lot of pups but this seems different.helllp

Walking Dandruff or Cheyletiella mites. If you see really flakey skin and a lot of itching this is likely the cause. I have rarely seen it in adult dogs.

Ivermectin works great. No bathing or harmful chemicals. 1/10th of a cc in puppies now and another dose in 10 days and voila! its gone!
