I got a dog from a friend that was absolutely one of the best until 10 months ago. She came down with and ear infection and was treated successfully. Evere since the dogs has alot of balance troubles and it is hard for her to run because it seems she cannot keep her balance on rough ground. This dog has had over 1,500 spent on here by myself and my friend with vets because i believed she had a stroke. Well after all the tests her brain,heart,ears all test normal but she still has bad balance.


Help. what should i do next!

Balance problems after an ear infection? Sounds like she had some middle/inner ear damage as a result. Have they done a bulla radiographic series? That looks at the temporous bulla (a portion of the ear), and can give an idea if we had damage there. There is a surgery to open and drain this structure that might be indicated here. Time to dig a bit deeper...both from amedical standpoint and financial standpoint. Best of luck. Doc S
