dog Hoarse

just bought a dog and thought it had a weak mouth,but she can flat run a rabbit.the next time I run her I put shock collar on and it hurt her when I tighten it up.I don't know if she barked alot before I got her,but I know her throat is sore and wonder what I could give her without going to the vet? thanks Ken

First I would Find out What the Problem is or just WHERE it is at!!!
Is it a throat problem or a neck problem? or maybe its her ears?
just some Feeling around kinda Gentle like rubbin her neck and movin it around Slow like just to see her reaction.. When she is Eating does she Wolf it down? or is she eating Slowly? Shaking her ears any?
ya Caint really help a problem till you know what it is. Maybe she has Something Lodged in her throat. If you caint find Anything then maybe its Time for trip to the vet.

Is her throat sore on the inside, or is it her neck on the outside??

dog acts sore on out side when I felt and rub her neck she whined.eats fine. thanks Ken

Sounds like she may have pulled a muscle if it is tender when you rub her neck.

Any visibile signs of injury?? Has she had a shock collar on too long before you got her , any "burns"?? Could be just a pulled muscle, but I would thoroughly search for external injuries also.
