Wanting to take a puppy to a starting pen. He vomits every time he is in the truck. I want to know if their are any meds out there that I can purchase that will prevent him from throwing up and keeping his nerves calmed.

You can get stuff from the vet, but it makes them very drowsy. You might not let them drink before you put them in the vehicle and give them 5-6 crackers to absorb whatever liquid is in their stomachs. Definately, don't feed them anywhere near the time you are going to put them in the vehicle.

Here is a great site with some good ideas. I think I'm going to get some Ginger today for my drooling car sick dog who is flying to VA tomorrow ;-) Dramamine works well but, does make them a little tired. I'll let you know how the Ginger works.

I have a tendency to put a pup by itself when riding to keep the other dogs from getting in the mess, however I've found if I put the pup in a crowded box he's less likely to get sick. Sometimes it stops it permanently.

Best cure is time spent in the car. I've never used something you can give the dogs.
