clapping in lungs

I have an 8 year old hound that is starting to get a clapping sound in his lungs. It does seem the more I run and condition him that the clapping lightens up .I read an article that this can be caused by roundworms .Has anyone else delt with this

have you found out any on this ?
i have a couple old hounds that after just short runs they rattle and wheeze terrible in their lungs. like they overheat too easy.
