It doesn't get tapeworms I think.

From the information that I have it does kill one type of whipworm, and it kills hookworms. Huntin54 is partially correct... If you give safeguard for 3 days straight it will kill the tapeworms dogs get from rabbits, but not the type they get from fleas.

Rabbits get tapeworms from fleas. Dogs can get them the same way.
